A home visit can be arranged if an illness prevents a patient getting to the surgery. There are no set times for these visits - they are normally made in the morning or lunch time. They may be graded as to priority or severity and therefore the receptionist will need to take some details of your symptoms; a doctor may telephone prior to making the visit so please be ready to receive such a call.
At the time of investigation you will be advised the likely date we will receive your results. For reasons of confidentiality unless the patient is under age or we have their written consent, we can only discuss any result with the patient themselves. Please telephone for these results between:
| Monday | 1:00pm - 2:45pm |
| Tuesday | 2:00pm - 2:45 pm |
| Wednesday | 1:00pm - 2:45pm |
| Thursday | 1:00pm - 2:45pm |
| Friday | 1:00pm - 2:45pm |

The medications query line is available between 10.30am and 12.30pm Monday - Friday (except Bank Holidays). A dedicated member of the reception staff will be able to assist you with general queries about your medication.
All requests must be in writing and we require two working days to process repeat prescription requests. Please allow plenty of time when putting in your request so that you do not run out of medication.

There are several ways to request your repeat prescription:
If for any reason you have to cancel an appointment please let us know. This is important as it allows another patient to make use of a very valuable appointment slot. You can do this either by:
Coming into the surgery in person to cancel and/or rebook. Telephone during surgery hours and speaking to a Receptionist Leave a message on our answerphone service which is available throughout the day or night.
For private correspondence and medicals (PMA) the fees have been changed recently. If you require anything to be done please ask the Receptionist how much the cost will be so that you are aware of this before the doctor completes any correspondence for you.
When you complete any claim form, solicitor enquiry, insurance proposal or similar, the paperwork provides an option to view the report before it is issued, a right under the Medical Records Act. When you ask for this option we will contact you upon completion of the paperwork to advise you it is ready for viewing. If you have not viewed the paperwork within the statutory 45 days we will forward it to the enquirer without further delay.
